Korea Transport Institute and Korea Shipping Association Sign MoU for Revitalizing Coastal Shipping Transport and Logistics
On 14 March, the Korea Transport Institute (President Kim Young-Chan) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Korea Shipping Association (KSA) for policy development and legislative cooperation aimed at revitalizing coastal shipping transport and logistics. The two organisations agreed to establish a close collaborative framework for policy research and development in the maritime transport and logistics industry to promote the growth of coastal shipping.
Key areas of cooperation include:
⦁Policy research and legislative consultation for improving coastal shipping logistics services
⦁Policy development for providing low-carbon, eco-friendly logistics services in coastal shipping
⦁Research and legislative support for promoting coastal passenger ferries as a form of public transport
⦁Sharing and cooperation in providing data and information on coastal shipping transport and logistics
⦁Conducting joint and commissioned research through personnel exchange
⦁Participation in mutual guest lectures, advisory sessions, seminars, and symposiums
